How to start or join a GFCE initiative?

GFCE initiatives can have a geographic or/and thematic focus. Initiatives focus on building cyber capacities in the following areas:

  • Cyber security;
  • Cybercrime;
  • Data protection;
  • E-governance.

Initiatives address challenges and gaps in cyber capacity building and develop products and/or activities. Resources such as knowledge, expertise and funding are essential for the implementation of cyber capacity building efforts.

Initiatives are started by at least two GFCE members and must be established within the parameters of the GFCE principles. Members can invite others, GFCE members and partners as well as stakeholders in cyber capacity building outside the GFCE network, to participate in their initiative. The initiators will  coordinate the initiative and are responsible for the progress and results.

The Secretariat can support by connecting GFCE members and partners on supply and demand.
